Modding

We won't go into too much detail on actually modding a console, only because I couldn't put it into any better words than the site 3ds hacks guide does.

Depending on which console you're wanting to mod, this site will give you a thorough step by step process while explaining the reasoning for every bit of software/every setting changed. You learn everything you need to know to mod and use a modded DS, and it's idiot proof. I highly recommend it.

So what guide should I follow?

To save you the time of picking the right walkthrough for whichever console you're modding, I'll pop some links below.

For any Old DS console (Old 3DS, 2DS, 3DS XL)

Mind you, for the above tutorial you will need an SD card with at least 2GB of storage

For any New DS console (New 3DS, 2DS XL, New 3DS XL)

The above tutorial will require a micro SD card with at least 2GB of storage. Not an SD.

For any DSi console (DSi, DSi XL, DS LL)

The links here will take you to the very first page detailing what you need and what the walkthrough will install on your console. It will then take you through the process.
